Truly saddened to hear that news, LC. My sincere appreciation for your efforts and good humour over the past, what must have been, extremely difficult months.
It was difficult as the situation progressing towards the inevitable. But it was manageable in the sense that there was a clear objective – to keep my SO as comfortable as possible. With my years of meditation practice, I think I handled that alright.
The real challenge, however, is dealing with the emotional issues at this point. I actually have to talk to one of my mentors for advice and guidance as he experienced something very similar about 10 years ago.
