Wyckoff Up Thrust / UpThrust
Part of Art of Chart Reading
Summary
Wyckoff Up Thrust (a.k.a. Wyckoff thrust, w. thrust) is a terminal pattern for an uptrend. It is not a type of false breakout. It is not double top or other classic topping formations. Wyckoff Up Thrust is unique in terms of its characteristics and strength in its expected outcome (biases).

Thank you LC! Very concise and detailed explanation with charts to visualize. Definitely helps us understand it better.
I strongly second Minty415’s comment. The devil is in fact in the details and often in disguise. Thanks. One useful exercise will be to document as many of them as they occur, making recognition and anticipation feasible and in muscle memory.
thanks again LC for clarifying the difference between the FBO and the Wyckoff pattern. Seeing these patterns helps me to understand what the MM’s are doing.
Like HS and IHS, is there a opposite version of the W.upthrust?
