SAFEST/BEST BROKER?

Dear Fellows of this Great Blog!

Any contributions to ‘WHAT BROKER IS SAFEST/BEST?’ would be very welcome.

I trade ETFS/stocks, futures and forex. Naturally it is easiest to have it all in one place also for leverage. So for now I am using Interactive Brokers (IB).

I however lost a lot of money when Refco FX went bankrupt and so it makes me concerned when broking with the biggest online shop out there (= IB).

Velocity Futures of PFGBest seem interesting especially since PFG does not enagage in proprietary trading but there again you can not trade FX/ETFs.

So any ideas for the benefit of us serious traders would be very welcome!

    My buddy was burnt by Refco too at the time.

    Velocity Futures is a FCM itself. I am not sure that they are part of PFG?

    I have been trading PFG since 2007, can trade FX with them, although I am looking for a good FCM for less comms and round turns. Here is the link to some of them from the CME. http://www.cmegroup.com/tools-information/clearing-firms.html
    I have heard good things about Advantage.

    I would recommend a broker/FCM who insures your money when it is not in an active trade. I do not recommend Tradestation as a broker because of Florida laws and your money is not insured.
