Lawrence’s Comment
Consolidation as expected in first half of the week. But then Dow and S&P started their battle of short elimination, taking NQ higher in the process. NQ cleared Y+1 after some struggle. Closed the week above Y+1 and at week high.
Outlook
NQ is not in a bullish pattern like ES or Dow due to the break it has encountered the week before. This move higher so far is more in line with a short squeeze action with no volume and little participation by the components.
We now enter the phase of building a long term top. The process could take several weeks or even couple of months. We will know for sure when distribution actions become obvious.
Well, it is strategically a good move too by the size players because of the seasonal strength into early December can mask out their unloading actions nicely.
